# Scan the QR Code on Your TV to Sign In to HBO Max Fast

> Skip typing the TV code: point your phone camera at the QR code on the HBO Max sign-in screen and tap the link to sign in to HBO Max on your TV.

The fastest way to sign in to HBO Max on your TV is to scan the QR code on the sign-in screen with your phone's camera. If you're already signed in to HBO Max on your phone, your TV signs in automatically.

## Scan the QR code

  <Step title="Open the sign-in screen on your TV">
    Open HBO Max on your TV and choose **Sign In**. Stay on the screen showing the QR code.

  <Step title="Point your phone camera at the code">
    Open your phone's **Camera** app and point it at the QR code on your TV. A link appears on your phone.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Tap the link">
    Tap the link. If you're signed in to HBO Max on your phone, you're signed in on your TV automatically.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Finish signing in if prompted">
    If you aren't signed in on your phone, enter your HBO Max account email, choose **Continue**, and enter your password or one-time code.

  <Step title="Choose who's watching">
    Pick a profile on your TV and start streaming.

    Move closer to the TV, make sure the whole code is in frame, and reduce glare on the screen. On some Android phones, QR scanning is in **Google Lens** rather than the camera app.
