If you’ve added a mobile number to your HBO Max account, you can sign in on your TV with that number and a 6-digit code sent by text message. You must add the number to your account before you can use it to sign in.

Sign in with your mobile number

Choose Use Mobile Number

On the TV sign-in screen, choose Use Mobile Number (on the left).

Enter your number

Enter the mobile number linked to your HBO Max account, including the area code, and choose Continue.

Enter the text message code

Type the 6-digit code sent to your phone and choose Submit.

Choose who's watching

Pick a profile and start streaming.

Didn’t get a text message?

  • Check that you entered the right mobile number.
  • Choose Get New Code to send another text. It should arrive within a couple of minutes.
  • Make sure your phone has signal and Airplane mode is off.
  • Make sure your phone isn’t blocking messages from unknown senders.
  • Restart your phone and try again.
